About Paul

Paul J. Bean was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After high school, Paul attended Western Michigan University where he studied English Literature and Theatre. While in college, he wrote and produced produced two one-act plays and a short film, Thirteen. After graduating, Paul moved to California and continued to write while working as a creative executive in marketing and advertising.

In 2008, Paul published his first book of poetry, Confessions of a Latter-Day Cynic, which was well received. He is currently working on several literary projects, including a new screenplay, a play about modern politics and an episodic streaming series based on his years in corporate America.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys movies, film criticism, live jazz, traveling to foreign shores, photography, and architecture.
